Job Summary:

The City of Delta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Program Coordinator to join our team. As a Lifeguard and Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering aquatic programs and services to the community, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver aquatic programs and services, including lifeguarding, swimming lessons, and water safety education
  • Develop and implement program plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including program participation and evaluation data

Requirements:

  • National Lifeguard Award – Pool Option (NL)
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Level C current within one year (CPR C)
  • Minimum age of sixteen (16) years
  • Completion of Grade 10 and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, working on an assigned shift, at an indoor and/or outdoor aquatic facility. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask.
