We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team as a Continuous Instructor at NAIT.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with students and contribute to the growth and development of our Automotive Service Technician program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality instructional content in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting.
- Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews to ensure the program remains relevant and effective.
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials.
- Manage instructional delivery and create a safe and effective learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide coaching and tutoring to maximize student success.
- Respond to student issues and maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the program remains current and relevant.
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of Automotive Service Technician Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent including Inter-Provincial Red Seal.
- Minimum 8 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket.
- Teaching experience an asset.
