Job Overview

The Business + Higher Education Roundtable is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to lead the implementation and day-to-day operations of our growing qualitative research portfolio. This portfolio includes a national multi-year initiative focused on improving employment outcomes for people with disabilities and helping employers recognize diverse talent.

This role will support project design and manage all aspects of project delivery, including timelines, budgets, and team supervision. The successful candidate will drive data collection and analysis, ensuring findings are synthesized into clear narratives and producing high-quality reports and presentations.

We're looking for someone who thrives on managing complex research projects, supporting their team, and delivering meaningful insights to support policy and program design.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent and high-quality execution of research methods, including literature reviews, interviews, focus groups, roundtables, and surveys.
• Support development and refinement of research tools, guides, ethics protocols, and data frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and guide team members on research questions, methodology, and analysis.
• Liaise directly with project participants, partners, and stakeholders to coordinate consultations, interviews, and data collection.
• Guide the drafting of project deliverables and support internal reviews.
• Work closely with BHER's communications team and Senior Content Specialist to ensure research outputs are clear, accurate, and accessible to a range of audiences.

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in applied research or evaluation, ideally in a non-profit, academic, or policy-focused setting.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and supervising junior staff.
• Proficiency with qualitative and/or mixed methods research.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting research findings.
• Subject-matter familiarity with education, skills development, or workforce policy.
• Experience working with equity-deserving groups or accessibility-focused projects.
• Bilingualism (English/French).
