VanGuard Flooring Inc is seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Store Supervisor to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a Retail Store Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales floor staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure efficient sales floor operations
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet business needs
- Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, including sales floor staff and office personnel
- Manage cash and oversee payroll administration
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
- 1-2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent required
