Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and designers to develop detailed architectural drawings and plans.
- Aid in the preparation of construction documents and provide quality control oversight.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project specifications are met.
- Coordinate with engineers and contractors to verify design compliance.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from clients and project stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Lead technical coordination efforts and conduct peer reviews of drawing packages.
- Manage contract administration tasks during construction phases.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology from a Canadian institution.
- 10+ years of experience in a technologist or technician role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with coworkers, consultants, and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
