We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at CMHC - SCHL. As a key member of our Housing program Team, you will play a critical role in reviewing, underwriting, and recommending approval of applications for financing under the National Housing Strategy (NHS) and existing CMHC programs.
Key Responsibilities- Review and underwrite applications for contribution and/or loan approval, leveraging CMHC's various programs to find the most suitable solution.
- Assess affordable, multi-unit housing applications for new construction and repairs, exercising prudence and due diligence while reviewing and approving applications.
- Manage risk by maintaining quality relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives, and exploring opportunities.
- Provide effective and efficient delivery of the National Housing Strategy (NHS) and existing CMHC programs, working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- An Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, and/or Commerce.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in credit/financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
- Knowledge of construction financing, multi-unit underwriting, and credit risk analysis.
- Experience in building reports and/or in using statistical analysis software such as MS Excel or Power BI.
