Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team at Goodyear. As a Production Technician, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality tires while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure the production area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Abide by Standard Work Procedures and Job Safety Standards: Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate Tire Manufacturing Equipment: Effectively operate heavy industrial equipment and other related machinery to produce high-quality tires.
  • Meet Quality Expectations: Ensure all output meets quality standards and is free from defects.
  • Perform Manual Tasks: Perform a variety of manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, standing, and working at heights, as required.
  • Adhere to Attendance Policy: Maintain regular attendance and adhere to Goodyear's attendance policy.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Production Technician in a manufacturing plant.
  • Additional Education: Additional education or certification in manufacturing.
  • Industry-Specific Safety Standards: Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards.
What We Offer

Goodyear offers a competitive pay and comprehensive total rewards package designed with your financial, physical, and emotional wellbeing in mind. The starting rate for this position is $26.40 with progression up to $33.01 after training; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and market location.
