About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join our National Electrical Team in Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing the civil and structural elements of transmission and distribution systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with technical staff to design foundation, structural, building, and civil engineering elements for low, medium, and high voltage electrical transmission and distribution substation projects. You will also prepare work plans and tenders for new projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

In addition, you will supervise and develop junior/intermediate engineers and technicians, providing guidance and mentorship. You will participate in ongoing customer relations, inspections, and site interventions, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design foundation, structural, building, and civil engineering elements for electrical transmission and distribution substation projects.
  • Prepare work plans and tenders for new projects.
  • Supervise and develop junior/intermediate engineers and technicians.
  • Participate in customer relations, inspections, and site interventions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional engineering license (P.Eng) required.
  • Minimum 10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience in Transmission and Distribution projects.
  • Experience with all voltages 735 kV and below.
  • Strong knowledge of structural/civil engineering requirements for electrical transmission and distribution systems.
