Job Title: Food Service Helper

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Service Helper to join our team at New Punjabi Flavours. As a Food Service Helper, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and assisting with food preparation and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe dining environment by cleaning tables, chairs, and floors, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with food preparation by washing and peeling vegetables, cutting fruits, and preparing simple food items.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Load buspans and trays, and place dishes in storage areas.
  • Package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure to meet customer demands.
  • Stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work as part of a team, and demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure to meet customer demands.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.
