About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Andritz Hydro Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in our hydroelectric power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical components and equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications;
  • Conduct electrical testing and verification to ensure compliance with CSA/UL standards;
  • Apply quality standards and best practices to ensure safe and efficient electrical systems;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve electrical issues and improve system performance;
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to electrical systems and equipment;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent in electrical technology or a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in a hydroelectric power plant setting;
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including CSA/UL;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
