Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our team at Kingfisher House Care Home in Newmarket. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering quality personal care to each of our residents. This includes supporting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating, and maintaining personal hygiene.
You will also be required to understand our resident's communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual. For example, this may involve using sounds, tones, or body language to effectively communicate.
In addition to providing personal care, you will also be responsible for providing emotional support to individuals and their families. You will work closely with significant people in our resident's life, such as friends and family, by giving them confidence and reassurance and involving them in our resident's care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality personal care to each of our residents
- Support residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating, and maintaining personal hygiene
- Understand resident's communication needs and adapt communication accordingly
- Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
- Work with significant people in our resident's life to give them confidence and reassurance
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a team player who engages well with others. Strong communication and influencing skills are also essential. You should be energetic and hard-working, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to change. A passion for offering superior services and making a difference is also important.
