About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drilling and Well Service Specialist to join our team at Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership. As a key member of our drilling crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our drilling rigs.

Job Summary

This is a seasonal position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and working in challenging weather conditions. If you have experience in oil and gas drilling and possess excellent mechanical skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick.
  • Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs.
  • Manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and removal and replacement of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials.
  • Clean up rig areas.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in oil and gas drilling.
  • Standard First Aid Certificate.
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection.
  • Confined Space Entry Training.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental, health care, and vision care benefits. Additionally, you will receive a pension plan and life insurance.
