Electric Meter Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electric Meter Technician to join our team at Olameter Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and servicing electric meters in the Moncton/Bouctouche/Sackville/Shediac area for NB Power.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and replace single-phase electric meters
  • Automate meter reading and billing processes
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Fluency in both English and French
  • Ability to walk up to 5-10 km per day
  • Pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record

Working Conditions and Hours:

  • Day shift hours, Monday-Friday
  • Outdoor work environment
  • Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Successfully complete the company's training program and pass applicable written and field tests
  • Learn and apply safety measures relating to motor vehicle operation and other field-related matters
