Job Summary

Cold Iron Truck Center Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Payment and Record-Keeping: Pay and receive payments for goods, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Specialized Tasks: Transport and handle dangerous goods, perform brake adjustments, and conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess an AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Documentation: Maintain a driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with flatbed, refrigerated, and tractor-trailer equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess local, long-haul, and short-haul transportation experience.
  • Security and Safety: Undergo a driver's validity license check, driving record check, and medical exam.
