Job Title: Flooring Specialist

At Soni & Sons Construction, we're seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing flooring in various locations. Your tasks will include preparing surfaces, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place. You will also be required to align and straighten tiles, cut and fit tiles around obstacles, and pack grout into joints. Additionally, you will need to remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles and lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Align and straighten tiles.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.

Work Environment:
  • Varied work sites, including residential and commercial locations.
  • Physically demanding work environment with frequent lifting, bending, and kneeling.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Dependability and reliability.
  • Hardworking and accurate.
