Power BI Server Administrator

Astra North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a Power BI Administrator to support the implementation and ongoing build out of our Power BI Online/OPDG (Gateway) server. This role is a technical server administrator/support/maintenance position, not a Power BI report developer role.

Must-Have Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop application and the Service, and Gateway), or any other similar BI tool such as Tableau, SAS, Qlik, Sisense, Oracle Analytics Cloud, MicroStrategy, or Microsoft Excel would be beneficial; alternatively, a strong interest in developing your knowledge of BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Underlying awareness of SQL Server, or any other Database Management system like Oracle or SAP
  2. Thorough troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  3. Communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills, underpinned by an ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical, senior business users with ease

Nice-To-Have:

  1. Some understanding or awareness of Office 365/ Windows Administration, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, or the .NET Framework would be helpful
  2. Excel skills with Power Query and Data Modelling would be beneficial
  3. Experience gained or conceptual knowledge of Microsoft Azure/ AWS Cloud architecture or any Cloud SaaS experience
