Job Title: Biotechnology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Biotechnology Professor to join our team at Canadore College.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in biotechnology-related courses, conducting research in biotechnology, and supervising students in work sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and mentor students in biotechnology-related courses
  • Conduct research in biotechnology to discover, develop, and refine new products
  • Supervise students in work sessions and provide guidance on program curricula and career decisions
  • Prepare and administer tests and papers to evaluate students' progress
  • Deliver lectures and presentations, demonstrate and supervise laboratory experiments, and lead discussion groups and seminars
  • Conduct course and program evaluation or review, and provide reports on student progress
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in biotechnology or a related field
  • 5 years or more of experience in biotechnology research and teaching
  • Strong knowledge of biotechnology principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
