Responsibilities
- Enter incoming orders for pharmacy services, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Inform customers about order receipt, pricing, shipping dates, and delays, providing excellent customer service.
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Key Duties
- Enter customer information, product numbers, and specifications into the order entry system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify physician information, ensuring correct data entry.
- Process new medication orders and refills, adhering to established procedures.
- Distribute copies obtained from fax machines, facilitating efficient communication.
- Receive and respond to customer complaints, escalating concerns to the Order Entry Supervisor as needed.
- Review and verify customer and order information for correctness, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist specified departments in preparing and shipping orders to designated locations.
- Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
- Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures.
- Meet Expectations of Excellence for the position, demonstrating a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach.
- Support facilities, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Proficient math skills, including basic arithmetic operations.
- Computer knowledge, with proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Excellent customer service skills, with strong telephone etiquette.
- Able to sit for long periods, maintaining focus and productivity.
- Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends, as required.
- Knowledge of medical language and abbreviations, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- High school diploma or GED, representing a foundation for continued growth and development.
