About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician - Flight Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex mechanical work and aircraft inspections to prepare aircraft for flight or customer acceptance.

The successful candidate will have a college diploma in pre-flight mechanics or military equivalent, with experience in aircraft structure assembly, repair, and composite materials. A background in CF-18 operations is an asset, as well as bilingualism. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, innovative, and motivated by technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical work, including installing and removing safety pins, covering intake ports, and placing maintenance brackets and jacks.
  • Check, adjust, repair, or replace devices and equipment of a complex nature, such as internal storage, seats, and harnesses.
  • Maintain flight systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, and ventilation circuits, flight controls, landing gear, and engines.
Requirements
  • College diploma in pre-flight mechanics or military equivalent.
  • Experience in aircraft structure assembly, repair, and composite materials.
  • CF-18 operations experience (an asset).
  • Bilingualism (an asset).
  • Dynamic, innovative, and motivated by technical challenges.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This amount may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
