Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst role will leverage a deep understanding of product quality and testing to enhance business processes and outcomes, ensuring that both technical and business requirements are met. The role aims to deliver high-quality solutions that satisfy the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other team members to understand business requirements within their domain.
  • Work with Product Owners and Tech Leads to break down requirements and document them in epics, including defining acceptance criteria.
  • Identify potential risks and constraints where possible.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to defining acceptance criteria, plan testing strategies, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct manual testing to identify usability issues and ensure solutions meet user needs and are user-friendly.
  • Review test results and outstanding defects with stakeholders to confirm release readiness of deployed capabilities.
  • Work with Product Designers to identify critical user flows then collaborate with Development and Automated Testers to ensure critical user journeys are covered with automated functional end-to-end workflow tests in each domain and that these tests are kept up to date.
  • Organize and conduct demos of completed work to stakeholders to demonstrate the business value of newly developed capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and controls and identify process gaps and focus on process improvement to ensure efficiency and alignment with business standards.
  • Ensure delivery artifacts are maintained and appropriate to support release management activities.
  • As part of continuous improvement, investigate and analyze defects to prevent future issues and conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying business issues and recommend preventive measures.
Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English - you communicate clearly, concisely, and with tact.
  • Demonstrated experience of software testing or requirements analysis, particularly web application software across multiple browser platforms.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Software Testing and/or related roles such as Business Analyst.
  • Solid and practical experience with the software development and test life cycle methodologies - particularly SCRUM or Kanban.
  • Good understanding and experience of web technologies: HTML, XML, and JavaScript.
  • You are a strong team player who can work well with others and focuses on the merits of ideas.
  • You are a critical thinker who can leverage powerful questions to help others see what they're not looking for, proactively anticipating barriers to quality and working with the team to remedy them.
  • You are solutions-oriented and user-centric in your approach to quality assurance.
  • Organized and process-oriented, ensuring the team is set-up for success in their effort to deliver value.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies, tools, and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Product Compliance industry and some basic SQL, programming, and/or scripting would be considered assets.
