About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Store Clerk to join our team at Metro Inc. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the overall success of our grocery department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and stock merchandise, including groceries, dairy products, frozen foods, bakery items, and other products sold in the grocery department.
  • Label and display merchandise according to departmental rules and regulations.
  • Update prices on shelves and products as needed.
  • Rotate merchandise on shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues related to products and services offered in the grocery department.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by management.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
