The Disability Case Manager Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Case Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing disability claims to resolution, working closely with plan members, plan sponsors, lawyers, healthcare practitioners, and other stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and assess claims for benefit entitlement, considering contractual, medical, functional, and occupational information.
  2. Develop and implement outcome-focused case management plans to support plan members' return to work.
  3. Engage in telephone interviews to gather information and understand the medical, social, and personal dimensions of workplace absences.
  4. Prioritize work items to meet client service standards and Sun Life best practices.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer service delivery within the team.
