Job Description for Caregiving Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiving Specialist to join our team at D Dhillon. In this role, you will provide personalized support to clients in need of assistance with daily living activities.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently. A strong foundation in healthcare principles and practices is also essential.

About the Role:

  • This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • You will be working approximately 30-40 hours per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
  • A first aid certificate and personal support worker certification are required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, including planning therapeutic diets and menus
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Administer medications and assist with personal care tasks
  • Plan and participate in regular exercise routines, such as walking
  • Assist with grocery shopping and household supplies

Requirements:

  • Degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, social work)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in caregiving or a related field
