We are seeking a highly skilled Cinematic Designer to join our team at Cloud Chamber, a collaborative studio that creates unique and engaging game experiences. As a Cinematic Designer, you will be responsible for crafting cinematic sequences that bring our game's story to life.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Narrative, Design, and Art teams to create visually stunning cinematic sequences.
- Develop and implement systemic, in-game, scripted cinematic sequences.
- Set up actor staging and cameras to create immersive cinematic experiences.
- Maintain pipelines, workflows, and technical requirements to ensure seamless cinematic integration.
- Act as a bridge between disciplines to effectively communicate the creative vision and rally the team to implement it.
- Mentor junior designers in best practices, skills, and cinematic vision.
- 7+ years of experience in games as a cinematic designer or a combination of games and film.
- Ability to interpret storyboards and add creative flourishes.
- Strong communication skills to work with VFX, Creative Direction, Narrative, Art, and Game Design disciplines.
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with modern game engines.
- Flexible and collaborative mindset and attitude.
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize issues while developing a production pipeline.
- Knowledge and love of games, with a deep desire to push the medium forward.
