About the Role

This position reports directly to the Service Manager and is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our technicians. As a Diesel Mechanic Lead, you will diagnose complex problems, make repairs, and ensure high-quality workmanship on all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.


Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company policies
  • Provide technical support to technicians during day-to-day operations
  • Maintain service quality and assist on shop floor jobs when possible
  • Foster harmony among departments and prioritize teamwork and exceptional customer service
  • Communicate effectively with service customers and schedule shop work efficiently
  • Motivate and counsel technicians, monitoring their performance
  • Ensure warranty procedures are followed and prepare repair estimates as needed
  • Review technicians' repair orders for accuracy

Requirements
  • Licensed Technician with 310T Certification
  • Good communication skills and a positive work attitude
  • Quality-driven approach and attention to detail
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset
