Lead the Evolution of AWS Cloud Development Kit

We're seeking an experienced manager to lead our AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) team. As a strong leader, you'll guide the evolution of AWS CDK, working closely with developers, stakeholders, and customers to shape the future of infrastructure as code.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and mentor a team of developers working on AWS CDK
  2. Collaborate with other teams contributing to AWS CDK
  3. Engage with customers and the developer community to gather feedback, prioritize features, and define a product roadmap
  4. Oversee the technical architecture and design decisions for AWS CDK
  5. Manage projects to on-time delivery
  6. Participate in escalation manager on-call rotation
  7. Drive adoption of AWS CDK through advocacy and education initiatives
  8. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies in Infrastructure as Code

Requirements

3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
