Job Title: Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team. As a key member of the Financial Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department and providing strategic financial guidance to the University's faculties, schools, and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for the University, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead a team of financial analysts and planners to provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to Deans, Managers, and the Executive on financial matters.
  • Manage the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct financial analyses and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Canadian accounting designation.
  • Post-secondary degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a financial leadership role.
  • Excellent supervisory, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to promote and apply a high value of customer service.
