We are seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to join our team at Madras Maple Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and overseeing the preparation and presentation of our dishes.
Job SummaryThis is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong background in food preparation and management.
Key Responsibilities- Culinary Leadership: Lead and manage our kitchen team, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our customers.
- Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop new menu ideas and ensure they align with our restaurant's vision and values.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Staff Training: Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a head chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and attention to detail.
