Job Title: Tile Installer

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at StarShip Tile & Renovation Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing tile surfaces in commercial and residential settings. This includes preparing surfaces, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring and marking
  • Mix and apply adhesives, such as mortar and cement
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall and floor designs
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Commercial and residential tile installation experience
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential locations. The work environment will be dusty and noisy, and the candidate must be able to lift heavy loads and work at heights.
