The Role

The senior solutions engineer @ boostsecurity is a critical role, whose primary focus is converting opportunity to success. Prospects engage with boostsecurity because they have ineffective Application Security Programs, and/or supply chain security concerns and needs. However, these prospects find it hard to understand what products and capabilities match best with their needs. Your job is to first listen carefully and understand the prospects technical challenges and goals, then convey the key capabilities of the boostsecurity platform to accomplish their goals. This then translates to a pilot phase, followed by a wider rollout as a customer. The senior solutions engineer is a critical role across all these phases.

Responsibilities

- Technical Sales Demos: Prepare for and help sales team perform technical portion of sales demos to prospects.
- Lead technical implementations and drive adoption of boostsecurity, helping customers secure their software factories: Boostsecurity engages in 30 to 60 day pilots with prospects. These are highly structured pilots with well defined information gathering phase, goal setting, customer communication cadence, and results review phases. As a technical lead on these projects, you will drive all of these phases, to ensure PoV success.
- Customer support: Our customers are sophisticated AppSec teams in large organizations. We help them drive results across their organization. This typically involves meeting with them on a regular basis, addressing any shortcomings, helping them with automation and reporting (sometimes via scripting), advising on program best practices, among other things. You will be available during business hours to support the customers as a first line of support.
- Content Production & Thought Leadership: You will help produce content (the text, ideas) of various forms content (whitepapers, datasheets, blogs, conference talks, etc) – to help promote the product and the company.
- Partner with the Product and Sales teams to understand customer vision, pain points, and proposed solution in order to drive successful customer outcomes.
- Partner with our Product and Engineering teams to convey customer requirements and determine the right prioritization of features.
- Be a team player - collaborate, teach, and learn from the boostsecurity team

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience working in a DevSecOps / AppSec / ShiftLeft setting.
- Ability to communicate technical information in highly technical and non-technical ways depending on the audience, which includes various personas, such as engineers to executives
- Continuous learner who has a strong intellectual drive for excellence and the desire to develop solutions to complex problems
- At least a Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology
- Strong working experience with software development processes, practices, and software engineering design concepts
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional engineering teams and business partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
