Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Brace Law Professional Corporation. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Dusting and Vacuuming: Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy space.
  • Supply Distribution: Distribute clean towels and toiletries as needed.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items to ensure they are returned to their rightful owners.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, providing basic information on facilities as needed.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Willingness to perform repetitive tasks as part of the job requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Work Schedule: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of the job requirements.

  • Settlement Support: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
Support for Veterans
  • Transition Support: Assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans, including relocation and housing.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Mentorship: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers
  • Awareness Training: Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Support for Visible Minorities
  • Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
