At School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows), we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely completion and distribution of accounting records, financial data, and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and process various accounting data and source documents.
- Perform tasks to ensure the timely completion and distribution of accounting records, financial data, and analyses.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Completion or nearing completion of a recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA, CPA-CA, CPA-CGA, or CPA-CMA), or equivalent credential.
- Three to five years' experience in an intermediate accounting position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Sound knowledge of the Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards combined with demonstrated strong knowledge in accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with specific knowledge and experience in financial information systems (PowerSchool preferred).

- A full-time, continuing position working 35 hours per week, following a 12-month schedule.
