Job Description

This role is responsible for the completion of all functions of stock maintenance, distribution, and related data recording under the direction of the Stores Supervisor or Logistics Coordinator.

Duties:
  • Count, record, and enter the status of departmental medical/surgical supplies using a computer system or handheld computer.
  • Perform various return functions as per established procedures.
  • Deliver and re-stock/put-away medical/surgical supplies to departments following established quotas.
  • Complete routine records by performing duties such as completing established documentation for direct (non-stock) supplies previously received in the system; deliver to the appropriate department.
  • Enter requested requisitions into the computer as required.
  • Clean carts, shelves, and rotate stock in stores and assigned areas.
  • Maintain the store room in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as answering the phone, filing, and entering, editing, and retrieving data from the computer system.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts by counting items in inventory as required.
Requirements

This position requires:

  • A Grade 10 education plus six months' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
