Job Title: Pharmacist Assistant

Join Metro Inc. as a Pharmacist Assistant and support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacist Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacist Assistant, you will work closely with our pharmacists to provide dispensary and pharmacy services, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all aspects of the technical act of dispensing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Receive prescription refill requests and verbal prescriptions, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain patient profiles, scanning and filing patient records as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with prescribers, patients, and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving and storing products, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist, ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements:
  • Education: Pharmacy Assistant Program
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in retail pharmacy
  • Proficient in current PC systems, MS Office programs, and pharmacy software (Kroll)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Organizational skills to prioritize, plan ahead, manage time, and be punctual
  • Customer service skills to achieve customer satisfaction by recognizing customer needs and wants
