We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Boston Pizza. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Determine Food Portions and Costs
You will be responsible for determining the size of food portions and costs to ensure that our customers receive the best value for their money.
Prepare and Cook MealsYou will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
Train StaffYou will be responsible for training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Inspect Kitchens and Food Service AreasYou will be responsible for inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained.
Supervise Kitchen StaffYou will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Maintain Inventory and RecordsYou will be responsible for maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment to ensure that we have the necessary resources to operate effectively.
Requirements- Education
You will need to have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
ExperienceYou will need to have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Work SettingYou will be working in a fast-paced environment in a restaurant setting.
Physical CapabilitiesYou will need to be able to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
