Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Canada Cartage System LP. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes, including over the road, regional, and long-haul routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods across various routes
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and laws
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured and handled
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order
  • Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on route changes and other important information
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and laws
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate
  • FAST (Free and Secure Trade) Program
  • Valid passport
  • Basic security clearance
  • Bondable
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity license check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
