Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 CAD, depending on experience.
Job Description: As an Economist in Construction, you will play a crucial role in preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, creating and submitting estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms. You will also advise on tendering procedures, analyze tenders, and recommend awards. Additionally, you will set up cost monitoring and reporting systems, monitor and adjust contract expenditures, and prepare and maintain directories of supplies and trade contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will require excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. You will also need to have a strong understanding of civil, electricity - construction, commercial, and industrial construction.
