Viking Fire Protection Inc. is a dynamic company that specializes in fire protection services. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team.



Job Summary:


We are looking for a skilled Project Director who will be responsible for coordinating project activities, planning and reviewing project scope, scheduling activities and resources, overseeing documentation and risk management, and ensuring quality control in a fast-paced environment.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and review the project scope to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Schedule activities and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Develop schedules and estimate time allocation to manage project timelines.
  • Oversee project documentation preparation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create project charts and schedules to visualize progress and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Analyze and manage risks and issues to minimize their impact on the project.
  • Submit safety documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report project progress and track contract changes to maintain transparency.
  • Work with vendors and business partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project correspondence to maintain effective communication.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or fire protection.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in project coordination and management.
  • Proficiency in fire protection standards and codes (an asset).
  • Specific training in fire protection (an asset).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Good knowledge of WHMIS.
