About the Role
Kinark Child and Family Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Program Registered Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and youth in our residential programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical, emotional, and developmental assessments of clients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide medication management and education to clients and their families
- Facilitate individual, family, and group counseling sessions as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in psychiatric consultations and follow-up care
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on health and wellness concerns
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Recent experience in mental health/psychiatry
- Knowledge of child and youth development
- Excellent nursing clinical assessment and intervention skills
- Proven facilitation, communication, and counseling skills
