About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Punjabi Chulha Restaurant and Sweets. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including traditional Punjabi cuisine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet customer demands and expectations
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
