Radiation Therapist Opportunity

Job Summary: Health Careers in Sask is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, planning, and delivering accurate and precise ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients according to a Radiation Oncologist's prescription.
  • Prepare and plan radiation treatments using various computer systems and software applications.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Therapist II to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and patient interactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Radiation Therapy.
  • Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C certification.
  • Licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT) and membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including treatment planning, simulation, and treatment delivery.

Working Environment: This is a full-time temporary position with a 3-week rotation, working 14 shifts of 7.77 hours per week. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with a team of Radiation Therapists and Oncologists.

Salary and Benefits: The salary range is Pay Band 6, $46.886 to $53.579 (5-step range), with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
