Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team as a Truck Trailer Mechanic Assistant at JMD Truck Trailer & Reefer Repair Ltd. The successful candidate will assist our experienced technicians in maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers, including moving equipment and tools as needed.
  • Participate in surveying activities, holding stakes as required.
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Provide support to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • The position requires a physically demanding work environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling are also required.
  • The ability to handle heavy loads is essential.
  • A large workload and working under pressure are also expected.
