About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Intern to join our team at American Express. As a Product Intern, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our products and services, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
  • Technical Capabilities: Develop a deep understanding of our frontend and backend systems, as well as our Card products and features.
  • Product/Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align on and achieve shared goals.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analyze data using tools like Excel and learn new platforms and systems to drive business insights.
  • Product Marketing: Support the development and execution of product marketing initiatives to improve portfolio health.
What You Will Acquire
  • Marketing: Drive results with a speed-to-market focus, implementing initiatives from planning to delivery.
  • Relationship Management: Successfully manage and coordinate efforts within and across teams to deliver against marketing plans.
  • Communication Skills: Develop superior communication and influencing skills to achieve buy-in and acceptance across multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Select, review, and analyze performance drivers and data sets related to product performance.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or diploma with a demonstrated interest in product/project management.
  • Target graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
  • Ability to work full-time Monday to Friday for the duration of the internship.
  • Ability to work from our Sheppard Office in Toronto, Ontario 3 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability with product management, attention to detail, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proven ability to challenge the status quo and improve existing processes.
  • A focus on innovation and the desire to own a project from conception through implementation, and evaluation.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, and comfort working across various levels within an organization to drive results.
