Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to fill the role of Client Care Coordinator at Fraser Health. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide work direction to staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client care.
  • Coordinate staffing coverage and provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Act as a clinical resource to the interprofessional team, providing information and consultation as needed.
  • Assist staff in providing quality care by assessing clinical skills and providing guidance on client care activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, identifying and implementing best practices to ensure client safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with Licensing requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Three years of recent related clinical experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
  • Completion of a substance use certificate program, as required.
  • St. John's Ambulance Safety Oriented First Aid Certificate and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) level C or equivalent, for licensed facilities.
Skills and Abilities
  • Clinical proficiency and expertise in the designated clinical area.
  • Knowledge of community resources and health-related support services.
  • Ability to supervise and provide leadership and work direction.
  • Ability to coordinate client assignments and monitor staff workload and patient factors.
  • Ability to establish priorities for client care and patient flow/discharge planning.
  • Ability to monitor the quality of client care and ensure maintenance of standards for nursing practice and nursing support staff.
