About the Role

Vancan Electric Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Electrician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting electricians with various tasks on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist electricians with routine maintenance work, including performing tasks such as removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Electrical Work: Splice, join, and connect wires, as well as connect cables, tubes, and wires to complete assemblies and installations.
  • Work Environment: Work in various locations, including construction sites, and be prepared for physically demanding tasks.
  • Training and Development: Will train on the job, and have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the electrical trade.
  • Work Schedule: Work 32 hours per week, with a permanent employment opportunity.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a related field is an asset.
