Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Ion Exchange Resin Sales Engineer to join our team at Ecolab. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for selling our products within the western region to both new and existing customers.

The ideal candidate will have 7 years of sales experience in industrial use, chemistry-based products, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to build relationships with customers, identify new business opportunities, and develop a deep understanding of our impressive portfolio of resins.

You will work closely with the sales team to execute business development goals and implement regional sales plans in the western territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales budgets for various areas under your responsibility.
  • Promote our product range and company image, becoming fully knowledgeable of the technical details involved with selling ion exchange resins and absorbents.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, providing expertise and customer service to accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the water treatment industry, including industrial and municipal water, downstream oil and gas, sugars, and nuclear energy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, identifying new business opportunities and defining strategies to reinforce our position in the market.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field such as chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • 7 years of sales experience in industrial use, chemistry-based products.
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience writing and presenting white papers, articulating key aspects of product lines and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and develop customer relationships.
