About the Role:

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Learning Tree Academy. This is a permanent position working 32-35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance on their work.
  • Order necessary supplies and equipment for the program.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and report any concerns to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and maintain a safe environment for children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements:
  • A non-university certificate or diploma from a college or CEGEP program (1-2 years).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:

This position requires a flexible schedule with varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
