Retail Store Manager

At Cap-it Burnaby, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and improve daily store operations to meet sales targets and customer expectations.
- Plan and organize store layouts, visual merchandising, and inventory management to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Manage and motivate a team of sales associates to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Implement pricing and credit policies, and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Source and procure merchandise for resale, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, and increase brand awareness.
- Prepare and manage store budgets, and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, and train new staff members as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and improve store operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods, with frequent walking and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing business needs.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on achieving sales targets and customer satisfaction.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
