Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Millwright with a strong mechanical and technical background to join our team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and building production machinery for the Pulp and Paper industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble equipment from the Pulp and Paper industry
  • Evaluate and measure disassembled components according to inspection protocols
  • Hoist and rig large components, moving them through the facility using overhead cranes
  • Assemble new and refurbished assemblies/subassemblies from provided parts
  • Maintain facility equipment as necessary

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Millwright, specializing in large assemblies and equipment with a strong background in hoisting
  • Possession of a provincial or inter-provincial ticket for a Millwright is an asset; apprentices will also be considered
  • Skilled in working with complex and large mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the Pulp and Paper industry is an asset
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is an asset
  • Machining experience is an asset
