Senior Hydrogeologist

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to lead our Hydrogeology Group in the Environmental Consulting industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Leadership and Management: Progressively assume increasing leadership and management of daily operations for the Hydrogeology Group in collaboration with existing leadership.
• Staff Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and train hydrogeology staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
• Project Management: Perform project management and coordination duties to deliver projects on time and within budget, in accordance with client needs and company quality standards.
• Technical Review: Conduct technical review and/or preparation of technical reports for a variety of projects, focusing on providing cost-effective and sustainable solutions for clients.
• Regulatory Compliance: Senior review and/or preparation of various permits and regulatory approval applications, including PTTWs, EASRs, and ECAs.
• Field Work Coordination: Coordinate, manage, and review field work and data analysis for various hydrogeological assessments.

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hydrogeological consulting experience, with at least 5 years of experience working in Ontario.
• Professional Certification: Registered in Ontario as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) and a member in good standing.
• Education: Graduate-level university degree specializing in hydrogeology is preferred, although consideration will be given to strong candidates with a related B.Sc. degree, suitable work experience, and/or additional certifications.
• Leadership Skills: Suitable experience leading teams and providing supervision, mentorship, and technical training to hydrogeology staff.
• Project Management: Demonstrated success in all aspects of project management and delivery, with a Project Management Professional designation considered an asset.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential, with other technical programs, including Aquifer Test, AquaChem, and Hydro GeoAnalyst, considered an asset.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Technical understanding of Ontario regulations and industry standard practices related to hydrogeological assessments.
